Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to postpone our Soapbox Science event in Palermo to a later date.
With every new Soapbox Science event we strive for longevity, establishing strong events that benefit our local partner institutions, the organising team, and the local community as a whole. We couldn’t run Soapbox Science without the hard work, dedication and passion of the people who choose to bring new events to their region and so feel a duty to ensure that their first event is as good as it can be, with the correct processes and support in place as well as great foundations for future years.
On this occasion, we feel that it is necessary to delay the Palermo event until we are sure we can bring an impactful, meaningful event to Italy that will clearly and appropriately deliver the messages associated with Soapbox Science. Sometimes new events take a little longer to set up, but the priority is to establish events that work for everyone in the long-run.
